蓬莱的风俗很多，这里主要介绍两种：1、勤劳耕作节俭持家的农民习俗

蓬莱县农民素有勤劳耕作、节俭持家之风。旧时，农民家庭一般是男人从事田间劳动，妇女料理家务。建国后，妇女从家务中解放出来，务农、务工、经商，同男人一样。

农民一般遵循日出而作、日落而息的习惯。大忙季节，亦"起五更，拉半夜"，早、午饭由妇女或儿童送到田间地头。田间劳动，一般早饭前不休息，上午休息一次，下午休息两次，即"一气儿朝饭两气儿晌，三气儿晚饭不用讲"。

旧时，农家一般在秋收秋种结束后，将豆秸、花生秸、地瓜蔓等用铡刀铡碎，垛于场院上，或堆于闲房内，俗称"铡场"。全家人吃一顿面条，称吃"铡场面"，标志一年辛勤劳作基本结束，"地了场光"，进入农闲季节。

2、供奉龙王祈求平安的渔民习俗

沿海渔民有供奉龙王、海神娘娘之俗，每逢节日和出海前，摆设供品，点香烧纸，祈求平安。新船下坞，船主择"黄道吉日"，船头披彩，船桅挂红旗，设供品，点蜡烛，焚香纸，鸣鞭炮，行大礼。船主用朱砂笔为新船点睛、开光。高呼"波静风顺"、"百事大吉"，送船入海。

出海捕鱼前，举行祭祀，鸣鞭炮，焚香烧纸，敲锣打鼓，祈求平安。每逢初一、十五，渔民家属于海边为亲人祈祷、祝福。渔船满载归来时，于船桅挂"布挑子"，向乡亲报喜，乡亲们上船祝贺。
